The relatives of teens missing after a tragic blaze at a establishment in a Swiss winter destination are confronting an agonising wait for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their children publicly.

The inferno ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed video reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Officials have warned that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Officials stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with the process still underway to identify the final individuals.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been taking to social media to plead for any news about their friends who were in attendance that night.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are still unconfirmed, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The resident of Lutry near the city, informed a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to check whether he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in Bern, but could not find him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a horror. Either I find my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in a serious state. It's horrific," she stated.

She explained that some of his friends had been discovered with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's unspeakable; they experienced hell."

The Italy's foreign ministry has indicated that six of its young people have not been located.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, who hailed from Italy but now living in Dubai.

The national sporting body has stated that he is deceased, without mentioning the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who carried with him passion and true sportsmanship."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An representative has stated that a official announcement of his death is awaited.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the bar.

"Someone with him said they ran away after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers stated, "He was known for his good nature and smile, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to reports.

Her sibling has published an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are continuing to monitor the case.
