Gas Detonation Claims Three Police Officers During Eviction Procedure in the Verona Area
A trio of officers were killed and at least 15 people were hurt in a seemingly premeditated gas explosion at a farmhouse in northern Italy.

The blast took place as police and firefighters went into the residence near the Verona region to execute an eviction order for three siblings in their late 50s and mid-60s.
The three victims who died belonged to the Carabinieri force.
Investigation Developments
One male and one female got detained at the location and one more individual who escaped after the incident was apprehended soon after. The trio have been taken to hospital.
The detonation could be noticed some 5km (3 miles) away and photographs from the scene revealed the property turned into a heap of debris.
“This is a time for grieving,” stated the Minister of the Interior Minister Piantedosi, who noted that previous tries had been made to displace the brother and sister trio in the earlier times.

The head of the region of Veneto, President Zaia, said the property was subject to an removal notice due to financial obligations incurred by the three owners.
