FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
