Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in influence within the city.
Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.
This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each member has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor pledged a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in search of Casimir.
