Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his team members.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the passing of his two close friends.”

His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans shared its support for the star in the following the terrible crash.
